Ensure your MacBook and Foggie MAX IO are connected to the same local area network (LAN).

  1. Start the FoggieX Desktop Software, click on 'Device,' and then go to the SAMBA service page.

  1. After entering the SAMBA service page, add a shared service and set the name and directory of the disk you want to share.

  1. Set user access permissions, and once done, click "Next" to proceed.

  1. Configure the size of the space you want to back up. Then click "Apply" to install SAMBA service.

After clicking "Apply," you will see a notification indicating that the service is being installed, followed by a message once the configuration is complete.

7. Configure Time Machine Backup on Your Mac

  • Once the service installation is complete, go to your Mac computer

  • Open Time Machine software.

  • Click on Add Backup Disk.

  • In the list of available disks, select the FoggieXBackup disk you just created.

  • After selecting the disk, your configuration is complete.

Congratulations! Your Foggie MAX IO is now successfully set up as the backup target for your Mac, ensuring the safety and integrity of your data.
