🔵Step 3: Activate Your Foggie Max

Foggie Max, a DePIN server for decentralized data storage, serves as a Foggie node. It securely stores data and digital content, and also allows you to rent out space to earn crypto rewards.

1. Locate your Foggie Max device using the Foggie Desktop Software.

⓵ Click "Device for Max." on Foggie Desktop Software

⓶ Select 'Automatically Add Devices' on Foggie Desktop. This will enable the software to automatically search for nearby Foggie Max devices, which are typically assigned an internal IP through DHCP on your Local Area Network (LAN). Alternatively, you can manually input the IP of Foggie Max to add the device.

• Please allow a few minutes for the device to be located, and we appreciate your patience during this time. Once your Foggie Max is found, it will appear on the list. You can then select your device and click 'Add device' to complete the process.

2. Device Binding & Activation

⓵ Select Area: For regions outside of mainland China, please select "Hub" when activating the device. If you are in mainland China, please select "Alibaba Cloud."

⓶ Click " Activate Device."

• Please note, it may take approximately 3-10 minutes to activate your device. We appreciate your patience during this process.

• Installing Filecoin Station is optional; You can choose to install it immediately or opt to install it later from the configuration page after activation.

⓷ Once activation is complete, your device list will be displayed, and the status will show as 'online'.
